ear Cynthia,
Here is my story
about the "key" and what I learned in the process:
I was thinking
about the key that I lost today, and how it was completely my own
manifestation that I lost it! From the very first day of my house
sitting job here in Southern California, I looked at that key and said
to myself, "You better not lose that key, it is the only one you have."
And from then on I obsessed about it, taking great pains to always
check where it was, putting it back in exactly the same spot when I got
home, etc. When I would go for walks with the dog, I would check my
pocket maybe four or five times to feel for it and make sure it was
safe. I was soooo scared of losing it!
Then today while
out shopping at the nursery for plants, I lost it! When I got home with
a car load of plants, the key wasn't in my pocket! I checked the car,
the plants, and double checked my pockets. Then I drove back to both
nurseries and retraced every step and move that I had made. I never
found the key.
fter a few
phone calls to key persons with knowledge about this particular house, I
discovered there was a spare tucked away in a hidden spot. I was so
happy that I didn't have to break a window or call the fire department,
or WORSE: sleep on the porch till the owners returned in 9 days!
I am seeing the
connection in a very real way how our thoughts completely affect our
reality and our future! My energy was not flowing with well being, but
worried about an outcome that I didn't want. I had a "pushing against"
energy, which is why I did indeed lose that key, I was attracting a
particular outcome by focusing on what I didn't want! This was an
incredibly valuable lesson!
We are
responsible for creating all of our experiences. When things don't go
the way I hope for, I find it valuable to look back and see what part I
played in manifesting that particular outcome. I am learning to stop
and recognize what I am focusing on and change that focus if it is not
in line with what I truly want in my life. It is getting easier all the
time!
