"You who were created by Love like Itself can hold no grievances and know your Self."  To hold a grievance is to forget who you are and to let the ego rule your mind.

"In the universe, the process of cause and effect describes the way in which balance is lost and regained.  When balance has been lost, it must be regained.  That is karma.  However, retracing the pathways of cause and effect is not the only way of restoring balance and wholeness.  By grace and by love there is a higher way.  All that is asked of you is that you fervently seek the restoration of wholeness whenever it has been lost.  It is my hope that you find it through a reconnection with your Source, who will cancel your debt by the greater power of love, grace and synchronicity.  Karma is a base level ethics action - a kind of police agenda for the universe.  Although it works to rebalance life and is necessary to the universe, it can injure souls.  It is my central purpose to raise souls to a higher sense of responsibility, one empowered by the Sacred Heart and by the grace of God, thereby ending that bitter cycle."  Love Without End...Jesus Speaks

What are we doing by looking for retribution or vengeance or "teaching a lesson," but perpetuating our illusion, suffering and Hell?  It doesn't make sense to the unhealed mind to forgive... but it is our only way out of suffering.  Please examine to see where lurks an unforgiveness in your heart.
