Acting In a Certain Way
Empowering
yourself
with far greater manifesting powers...

Overview of this article:
In your efforts to manifest, you probably understand the importance
of action, yet may not have noticed that only a certain kind of action
helps bring results. My intent in this article is to penetrate to a
deeper understanding of the third step in the manifesting process (see
just below for the four steps) -- the importance of “acting in a
certain way.”
According to my research, the manifestation process unfolds in four
steps:
- desiring in consort with the universe
- vibrating in a high state,
- acting in a certain way
(current article)
- how not to manifest,
and
- allowing it to unfold.
So let’s understand what “acting in a certain way” means.
Pop quiz:
With all of the wonderful manifesting techniques floating around,
have you ever wondered what you should actually do to manifest your
desire (dollars, health, relationship)? Have you intuited that old
energy manifestation techniques of using only mental techniques is not
enough, but on the other hand, have you also instinctively known that
frenetic action from your personality/ego is useless?
WHEN WE SEEK TO MANIFEST A FOCUSED DESIRE (SOMETHING WE WANT TO HAVE,
DO, OR BECOME), ONLY A CERTAIN KIND OF ACTION IS HELPFUL. What are the
criteria of acting in this certain way?
|
Here is a checklist for ACTING
IN A CERTAIN WAY:
Do your manifesting actions fulfill the following criteria?:
KEEP ACTION IN PERSPECTIVE:
- Don’t try to “figure out” in your head what you should do.
- Take only inspired actions.
- Right action comes from the creative, not the competitive, plane.
IN YOUR LIFE, ON A DAILY BASIS:
- Turbo charge each action with intentions.
- Give more in use value than you receive in cash value.
- Implant the impression of increase in all.
- Give zestful and astonished appreciation.
- Start exactly here you are.
BOTTOM-LINE:
- More than fill your present place.

Personal
example:
I will apply the first part of these criteria to a personal
example of mine. I will use the example of when my partner and I had
a deep desire to leave the LA area, live in the mountains, create a
spiritual retreat, and take a quantum leap in our lives. After a
year and a half of aligning with the manifestation principles that I
am teaching here in these online seminars, we were able to do just
that. Here is how we applied the above checklist to our
“actions”:
- Don’t try to “figure out” in your
head what you should do. We knew that we needed to spend
most of the time in the early stages of this manifestation
contemplating our vision, and vibrating in a high state of
positive expectancy (for more instruction on how to vibrate, see
last
article). We did NOT rush into
action. In hindsight, part of the reason that we did not rush
into action was because, fortunately, we could not figure out
any actions to take. We were both deeply tied to LA with career,
family, and commitments. We had no extra cash. And our vision
was so big we had to have Spirit’s help. We have since
perceived that far too many people side-track their
manifestation by trying to figure out everything (anything!) in
their heads. People become obsessed with energy-sapping
questions like: “what SHOULD I do?” and “HOW is this going
to happen?”
Take only inspired actions. We
were eventually INSPIRED (“out of the blue”) to take
actions. We were inspired to look at realty magazines of
mountain properties for sale. We started compiling a list of the
exact features we desired. One day, we faxed this off to an
unknown Colorado realtor. Soon, we were taking four day weekends
to drive to Colorado and walk the land with our own feet. Still
no extra money. We were inspired to work on our relationship and
take it to the next level of commitment. We each did inner work
on ourselves to expand our identities into this bigger vision of
who we were. All of these actions were INSPIRED actions, rather
than things we thought we SHOULD do. In fact, in hindsight, we
did not even realize just how important it was to follow through
on each of these inspirations.
Right action comes from the creative,
not the competitive, plane. We were not competing with
anybody for anything. We were creating a whole new life. We did
not rush around trying to buy the most beautiful piece of land
before someone else got it. We did not get anxious that someone
else would beat us to the perfect spiritual retreat. We knew
that we were CREATING this vision in the creative plane of
manifestation.
Now it’s your turn:
Self-Empowering Exercise: Gaining Perspective On Your Actions
Choose one of the big things which you have been wanting to
manifest (more dollars, better health, a great relationship,
spiritual growth etc), and in your journal (or in discussion with a
friend) complete the following sentences:
- I am going to give myself permission to slow down, take off
the urgency, and shift into a long-term perspective because …
- I choose to stop obsessing about what I should do and how is
this going to work out because …
- In regards to this manifestation project, I commit to taking
only truly inspired actions, which are currently …
- I realize that I have been thinking in the competitive plane
when I anxiously think …
- I can shift to the creative plane by reminding myself that …

Why the Right Perspective on Action Is So Important:
The right perspective on action is so important because
perspective allows us to walk the fine line between those schools of
manifesting which counsel us to just ask and ye shall receive (just
“think and grow rich”) and those schools counseling hard work
and effort in the competitive plane (Marketing 101). I am counseling
“the middle way” here – action, yes, but action in a certain
way. The four perspectives I am discussing here …
- Action is important, but only at a certain stage.
- Don’t try to “figure out” in your head what you should
do.
- Take only inspired actions.
- Shift from the competitive to the creative plane. …
all of these amount to a radical paradigm shift. We are shifting
out of the short-term, in your head, personality-driven, forcing,
and competitive orientation into which we have been hypnotized in
this western culture. Without these shifts of paradigm, our
manifesting actions will remind limited. Each of these paradigm
shifts will empower our manifesting actions.
Conclusion:
If you understand the depth and power of what I am communicating
in this seminar, then I hope that you will be inspired to do the
above exercise with EACH of your manifestation desires.
I have achieved my intent for this seminar if you
- PUT DOWN YOUR DO-TO LIST,
- back off of your actions a little bit,
- breath a little easier,
- give yourself permission to stop tormenting yourself with the
misleading question: what should I do (the only answer to this
question is: take only inspired actions),
- stop obsessing with the equally side-tracking question: now
just exactly how is this going to happen/manifest?, and
- commit to taking ONLY inspired actions.
Can you appreciate that consistently empowering yourself with
these paradigm shifts on “acting in a certain way” will give you
far greater manifesting powers?
And yes, there ARE important things that you can do EACH DAY, and
in the next seminar we can work on these. For the
meantime, it is extremely important that you integrate and digest
this “big picture” on acting in a certain way. I encourage you
to spend time APPLYING this perspective to ALL of your
actions.
(Footnote: I am grateful to Wallace Wattles, and his visionary
and classic book on Manifesting called Financial Success. He used
the phrase “acting in a certain way,” and while I have expanded
upon his thoughts, much of my inspiration comes from his work. His
book can be ordered through UFF Order page)
