Cynthia:
All is well, really well. I LOVE my new job. I get so
excited every day coming to work. The staff and the board are so
happy I am here and are wonderful about sharing their appreciation.
I have been working some long days in an attempt to get up to
speed but since I really like being here I don't mind at all. In
fact, I like the job and the area so much that D. and I decided to
move to San Pedro.
First things first, I love the Creating Money tapes and have been
listening to them since I got back from Idaho. I have gotten some
wonderful insights into how I have blocked success and abundance for all
these years. The tapes were a good follow-up to the Light Body
workshop in January. I practice the principles I learned in
January everyday. I always do my intentions in the car on my way
to work. Even though I have a one hour drive to work it flies by
because I spend the time thinking about how I want my life to be.
Back to D. and I moving to San Pedro. We started looking at
houses in this area and really fell in love with this area. So we
put our house in the Valley on the market last Friday. It sold on
Sunday and the buyers gave us $10,000 more than we were asking because
they loved the place so much they wanted to make sure they got it.
Talk about abundance! Those tapes really work!
So now we have sold our place but haven't found a place to live in
Pedro. I found out over the weekend that one of my board members
is a realtor in this area and gave her a call. She told us that
she knew of a great place and set up an appointment to see the place on
Tuesday.
Meanwhile, I decided to put my townhouse in Florida on the market since
my tenant decided to move out at the end of her lease at the end of
February. I listed it about 2 weeks ago, and then on Monday I
received and accepted an offer to purchase the Florida property.
Back to the problem of no place to move to. D. and I just kept
telling each other that the right place would come along. On
Tuesday we looked at the one property my board member found for us and
we fell in love with it, made an offer and our offer was accepted with
no changes on Tuesday! And the timing of all this works out
perfectly!
We will be moving to a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo that is right across the
street from a huge marina just north of long beach and at the end of the
street is the ocean. We can watch the ships coming in and out of
the harbor. The view is beautiful. We are on the first floor
with the harbor in the front and a huge private patio off the master
bedroom in the back. I wanted a feeling of expansiveness and boy
did I get it.
A great partner, a great job and now a great place to live. I love
deliberate creation! I have already started teaching my staff
about how we are going to reshape the future of our agency through our
intentions. I am starting with the finances of the agency since it
has the most need. But, I can't wait to expand the use of this
philosophy to our counselors and therapists to use with the clients.
It is sooooooooo great.
In case you can't tell I am so excited about everything right now.
Life is really good.
One huge benefit of moving closer is that I will be able to have a more
balanced life. Right now work is consuming a large part. I
leave the house by 6:30 am so I can beat the traffic which gets me to
the office by 7:30. I don't leave until 7:00 each evening due to
traffic (no point in leaving earlier) so I don't get home until after
8:00. Eating and sleeping is about all I do at that point. The
new place is 1.5 miles away from work, a 5 minute drive.
But wait, there's more... I got accepted into the mediation program for
children in foster care. I applied some time back and just found
out yesterday that I got accepted. They pay for all the training
and then you work as an independent contractor handling foster care
mediations. The money isn't too bad either, $80/hour. As a
mediator I will handle cases for children who have been in the system
for some time and that are in need of permanency planning. This is
perfect for me since I have extensive experience with these types of
cases.
This is the way my life was meant to be. Easy, fulfilling,
supportive, exciting, and filled with joy. What a great way to
live.
