We
interrupt this program to bring you a special announcement: HOW NOT TO
MANIFEST. In my last online seminar, I probed into the importance of
"acting in a certain way," - sharing
a checklist of inspired actions which DO manifest and sharing a personal
example. In this seminar, I want to give a contrasting personal account
of how not to act if you want to manifest. Momentarily
examining how NOT to manifest can be helpful, because all we manifestors
occasionally (or consistently) fall into the traps I will present here.
Overview of this seminar program:
This is the sixth seminar on manifesting spiritual dollars in the new
paradigm. We are exploring the whys and hows of "transformational
manifesting" (i.e., manifesting which transforms the manifestor). A
fundamental premise of this work is that transformational manifesting is
a
sacred path. Another fundamental premise is
that it is possible - in fact, it is our destiny - to be on a spiritual
path and rich. According to my research, this transformational
manifestation process unfolds in four spiritual practices:
Pop quiz:
With all of the wonderful manifesting knowledge that you have, have
you ever closely examined how you "fall off the wagon"? What
are the subtle thoughts and actions we indulge, which cause our
vibration to lower, our Light to temporarily darken, and our connection
with Source to weaken? How is it that we fall into a state where we are
NOT manifesting our soul desires?
Personal example:
Probably the best way to reveal this anatomy of how Not to manifest
is for me to share a recent, (painful) personal example. I was with my
Father and two younger brothers. My father is a wealthy, retired, and
happy man, and my two brothers are successful businessmen in the
fast-pacing, exciting, and (to me) glamorous world of cutting-edge
Internet businesses. As glorious and adventurous as were our four days
together, sea-kayaking in the Gulf Islands, I came home Sunday evening
and realized I was depressed and "disconnected."
I use the word "disconnected" as a short-hand for a
particular emotional state which we all experience. I felt unsettled, a
little restless, discontent with my life, moody, a little down, bugged
(but I didn’t know about what). I was also feeling physically low
(later I found out from my biorhythms that I was indeed having a
physical critical day). It only slowly began to dawn on me that I WAS
DISCONNECTED. In this state of low vibration, my core vibration was not
high enough or strong enough to manifest anything. I had fallen out of
the manifesting zone.
Fortunately my schedule for Monday was very light, and I gave myself
permission to have a down day. I slept, and read, and laid around, and
didn’t turn on the computer (!). In that process of giving myself
permission to "just be," I got in greater touch with my
disconnection. I went into detective mode, to find out where I had
slipped out of the flow, and when I had fallen out of the manifesting
zone.
I played detective - to discover "who dun it", and
realized, of course, it was I who had "dun it". Here is how
"I dun it" to myself. Does any of this sound familiar to your
"dun it to yourself" too? Became critical of others: Compared myself to others and found
myself lacking: Started thinking on the competitive
plane: Became discontent with my life: When we are critical, comparing, competing, and discontent, we
can not manifest: How to return to the manifesting zone:
