INTRODUCTION: We all know that “allowing” (or surrendering) is a decisive requirement for successful manifesting. In the two previous seminars, we have explored the nuts and bolts of allowing - the WHEN and the HOW. But exactly WHAT is it you allow or surrender to? This online seminar is a “big picture” seminar, probing into the ways the Manifest and the Unmanifest work together. When we understand that, we can “allow” with more confidence, with unshakeable trust. Understanding this gives us greater courage to “leap, trusting that the net will appear.” Let’s continue to probe the mystery of “allowing.” Q: “I don’t have a lot of trust in letting go. WHAT the hell am I surrendering to anyway?” Surrendering originally meant to bow to that which is higher than your ego or personality. You are surrendering to something stunningly greater than yourself - i.e., the power of primordial Wellness suffusing the entire Universe. (Do you really think that you are separate from that?) You are surrendering to the ways the Manifest and the Unmanifest work together.Let’s go into this. Think of an artist, or better yet, the artist in you, when you have been creative. In the creative process, there is almost always a point where we cannot go any further to “make the project happen”, and we just give up. Many creative people have learned to actively – in fact deliberately - surrender their creative project to their “unconscious.” There, the creative work percolates. This is often referred to as “sleeping on it”. Artists have learned to pass off the baton to “something else” and it gets passed back to them in a much more completed and unified state. The allowing stage of manifesting is, then, equivalent to this process of turning the creative project over to “something else,” to “sleeping on it”. But what is this “something else”? In Transformational Manifesting, we are turning over our desired manifestation to Spirit, to the universe, to the Unifying Field, to the formless intelligence from which all things are made. In essence, we are turning it over to the primordial UNmanifest, because we trust its desire to manifest.Let me repeat that: In essence, we are turning our desired manifestation over to the primordial UNmanifest, because we trust ITS desire to manifest. This is the key: trust!Q: “Are you saying that I can trust the Unmanifest, the Void?”
Yes!
As transformational manifestors - in other words, as souls (not as human personalities)- we know (trust) that, having brought our manifestation project to the point of the sparkle zone, it is rightful to let it soak in the great creative brine of the Unmanifest, whose supreme and only desire is to manifest everything in alignment with its true Nature. Your desired manifestations are in alignment with all that is good if you have made the radical paradigm shift from the personality to the soul. (Ways to check for yourself can be found at endnote #5).Personal example: Personally, I am coming to realize that I want to manifest a sabbatical, a journey to the Far East, a pilgrimage. I want to drop my identities like grime-filled clothes, and wander as a nobody, perhaps for a year. Now, how do you think that sits with my partner, my employer, my own survival-based monkey mind? This desire immediately brings up profound issues between myself and my partner, my relationship to the Unifying Fields Foundation where I work, my salary, etc. Even as I go through the transformational manifesting practice of (a) clarifying this desire into a particular form (travel and study in India), (b) raising my vibration to the sparkle zone, and (c) taking inspired actions, I keep surrendering the form to… WHAT? I surrender the form to the primordial Wellness suffusing the Universe. I surrender it into the creative brine of the Unmanifest to soak there.I trust that this huge manifestation needs to be allowed to cycle through the Unmanifest, before being tossed back to me in the form of clarification, purification, change, and inspiration. In fact, I want its input! Also, I “allow” the changes in myself and in my world that such a manifestation requires. For example, I would have to give up certain securities like salary, a fixed future, the relationship I have constructed…Q: "What happens when I surrender my desire into this primordial Unmanifest?" You undergo a process of alchemy. You change. You transform.Remember that many manifesting techniques (tools, processes, systems, books, seminars) approach manifesting from the flawed premise that you can manifest something without changing yourself. Our survival-monkey-mind wants to transform the contents of our life, without changing ourselves. When you reach this fourth stage of the transformational practice of “allowing and surrendering”, you are allowing yourself to be penetrated by the Great Mystery, and to change that within you which needs transforming. Q: “Well, what is this Mystery?”If manifesting is not a quick fix, and cannot be successful without authentic self transformation, then what is it? Manifesting is a way of relating ourselves to the Great Mystery of Incarnation. Manifesting is a high calling to do sacred work. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word became flesh. The Bible also talks about Christ as “God made manifest.” This stage of allowing and surrendering opens us to just this. Incarnation is the great mystery. The bringing of the Light into Form is the great gift and challenge that we have chosen as incarnated spirit. To bring vision into embodiment is the work of the Gods. As spirit “descends” into denser and denser form, Light finally coalesces as matter. Manifesting is one of the most powerful ways to get aligned with such a sacred calling. The universe, or Unifying Field, is seeking to expand more fully, to increase Life, and to manifest all of its inherent gifts. By manifesting, we align ourselves with this primordial activity. In fact, our desire to manifest is precisely the Unifying Field’s primordial urge to manifest. (Can you get how the two – your desire to manifest and its desire to manifest - work together?)Q: “But with all this high talk, what if I still don’t get my desire?” In “Financial Success”, (highly recommended!) author Wallace Wattles gives this riveting example: “A student of manifesting had set his mind on making a certain business combination, which at the time, seemed to be very desirable. He worked for some weeks to bring it about. When the crucial time came, the deal failed in a perfectly inexplicable way. It was as if some unseen influence had been working secretly against him.”(Ask yourself, what would you do in this situation?) Wattles continues: “He was not disappointed. On the contrary, he thanked God that his desire had been overruled, and went steadily on with a grateful mind.”(Overruled? Grateful? Could you “allow” this?) Wattles continues: “In a few weeks, an opportunity so much better came his way that now he would not have made the first deal on any account. He saw that a mind which knew more than he knew had prevented him from losing the greater good by entangling himself with the lesser.”[Now this is “allowing” at its finest!] Q: “Well, then, do I just surrender once and for all, and ‘walk away from it’ for good?”No. Letting go into allowing and trusting is not a single, climactic orgasm. The process is more like putting your soup ingredients in a soup on simmer, and walking away from the stove for a while. You allow the stove to cook the ingredients. Yet, you need to return to stir the pot occasionally. You stir the pot occasionally by practicing the first three gateways: (i) re-clarifying your desire, (ii) re-kindling your high vibration, and (iii) following any additional inspired actions which grace you “from the Blue”. As you again flow through the first three gateways (desiring, vibrating, acting), you will need to — again — let go into allowing and trusting. It is a cyclical experience, like the seasons. You are continually cycling through doing and then non-doing, process and void, medicine and magic, big picture and nuts/bolts, yang and ying, activity and rest. Your manifestation is cycling through the realms of the Manifest and the Unmanifest. These seeming polarities work together. This is the Tao of transformational manifesting. Let me be more precise. This fourth gateway, this letting go/allowing/trusting phase of Transformational Manifesting is a return to the state in which you deeply know that you and the universe work together, complement one another, indeed need each other, and you enjoy this co-creation.Summary : Your manifestation needs the Unmanifest; the Unmanifest needs your manifestation. Can you finally let go into this – This joyous co-creation? Have Fun Putting This Into Practice:Borrow your mate, friend, or child for three minutes. Grab a towel. Stand about ten feet from each other, and simply toss the towel back and forth. Now get into this: Hurl the towel. Fling the towel with abandon. Toss the towel with glee. Lob the towel with total trust. Let fly with pure joy…You are your soul. The towel is your manifestation. Your partner is the Unmanifest. And now you are getting the embodiment, the feeling, the somatic experience of surrendering your manifestation to the Unmanifest. And, behold, It comes back to you!
